Priozersky city prosecutor's office instituted administrative proceedings against a private detective.

The prosecutor's office conducted an audit of compliance with antitrust laws. As a result, it was established that in the issues of the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, an individual entrepreneur engaged in private detective activity placed an advertisement for “Private Detective Services” on the provision of criminal investigation services as an advertisement.

“In accordance with the antitrust laws, this advertisement was an act of unfair competition, since the investigation of criminal cases falls within the competence of the authorized bodies of preliminary investigation (investigator, interrogator, inquiry body) defined by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, Federal Law“ On operational search activity ” - the press service of the prosecutor’s office.

In this connection, the acting The Priozersky city prosecutor instituted 2 administrative cases against a private investigator under Part 1 of Art. 14.3 Administrative Code (violation of the law on advertising).
