Former governor of the Tula region Vyacheslav Dudka sentenced to 9.5 years in a maximum security colony. Such a decision was made today by the Sovetsky District Court of Tula.
Another person involved in a bribe case of 40 million rubles. - Viktor Volkov - was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison.
In addition, reports the RAPSI agency, Dudka has been fined 900 thousand rubles. Thus, today the court granted the request of the prosecutor. The second person involved in the case - the ex-director of the Department of Property and Land Relations of the Tula Region Volkov - will be released in the courtroom in connection with the serving of this term in custody and under house arrest.
During the trial, Dudka insisted on his innocence, Volkov, however, declared his repentance.
According to the investigation, in the spring of 2010 Vyacheslav Dudka entered into a conspiracy with the former director of the Department of Property and Land Relations of the Tula Region Viktor Volkov and received a bribe in the amount of 40 million rubles through an intermediary. from the managing director of CJSC GRINN Corporation Dmitry Dobrynin for leasing a 2.5 ha land plot. The criminal case against the managing director of GRINN was dismissed due to the expiration of the period of bringing him to criminal liability.
Earlier, Dudki's lawyer said that his client did not count on an acquittal. “Neither I nor Vyacheslav Dmitrievich had any particular illusions, especially after we were deprived of a jury trial. When an indicative landing is made out, our justice does not need proof, just one liar is enough, ”said ITAR-TASS defender Vladimir Zherebenkov.
