1) Once a student and his Teacher argued about who would chop more firewood in a forest for a certain time. Everyone chose a site. The student rushed to chop, and his ax did not stop for a minute, he really wanted to win. While Master’s ax periodically fell silent. The student was glad of these moments, thinking that Teacher was tired, and he (the student) would now overtake.
At the end of the work, the result was compared. Teacher had much more. Then the student was surprised:
“How is it that I chopped without stopping, and did you often take breaks ?!”
To which Master answered:
- It was during these breaks that I sharpened the ax.
2) An elderly man with a 25-year-old son entered the train car and took their places. The young man sat by the window.
...
As soon as the train started, he put his hand out the window to feel the air flow and suddenly cried out in delight:
- Dad, you see, all the trees are coming back!
The old man smiled back.
Next to the young man was a married couple. They were a little embarrassed that a 25-year-old man was behaving like a small child.
Suddenly the young man cried out again in delight:
- "Dad, you see, the lake and the animals ... The clouds travel with the train!"
The couple embarrassedly watched the strange behavior of the young man, in which his father seemed to find nothing strange.
It began to rain, and raindrops touched the hands of a young man. He was again filled with joy and closed his eyes. And then he cried out:
- Dad, it's raining, the water is touching me! See dad?
Wanting at least something to help, a couple sitting nearby asked an elderly man:
- Why do not you take your son to a clinic for a consultation?
An elderly man replied:
- We are just from the clinic. Today my son regained sight for the first time in his life ...
...
