There is one airport in Thailand which, for continued good health, should not be named directly but it is a very popular landing site for charter flights over the past few years. If the correct "arrangements" are made in advance an arriving "special" passenger will be met by an agent and escorted to a "special facility" while the rest of the passengers go to the normal Immigration desks.

This seems to be very helpful to "special" passengers who might otherwise have some kind of issue with their documentation or who would prefer to avoid some forms of public or official scrutiny.

This "special facility" seems to have frequent problems with their input terminals for the Immigration database as some records just never seem to be discoverable. It is surprising that they can't afford the technical services to correct this problem since it is rumoured that revenue is not a problem for them.

Some more information ...

There is one airport in Thailand, which I will not name in order to continue to feel good, which is a very popular landing place for charter flights in the last few years.
